A Boston secondary school has advised parents that it will be closed tomorrow (Wednesday) to all staff and pupils following a tragic incident that occurred on the school site this afternoon.
William Lovell Church of England Academy, located in Stickney, announced through their Facebook page that the school would remain closed throughout Wednesday 12th February 2025.
Sam McCormick, Interim Headteacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead at the School said: “Following a tragic incident involving a parent on the school site this afternoon, I have taken the difficult decision to close the school tomorrow.
“The events this week have been unprecedented, and the effect on the whole school community are profound. I am sure you will join me in keeping the students, staff, and all those in the wider William Lovell family in your prayers.
“If there are students who may require pastoral or spiritual support tomorrow, the Main Hall and Prayer Room will be available to those in need.
“The school will reopen on Thursday 13th February as normal.”
