If you’re looking for ways to entertain the kids this half-term without breaking the bank, Blackfriars Theatre has got you covered with not one, but TWO brilliant shows for families of all ages. Whether you fancy some meaningful theatre with an important message or a bit of magic and mayhem with a TV icon, you’ll find it all at Blackfriars this half-term!

Half-term kicks off at Blackfriars Theatre on Saturday, 15th February with two FREE performances of Mark and the Marked, an extraordinary wordless play brought to life by the brilliant Box Clever Theatre. This production marks one of the first exciting collaborations between Blackfriars Theatre and Box Clever Theatre, a partnership set to bring inspiring, high-quality performances to local audiences.

This unique show tackles bullying head-on, drawing children into the heart of the story and giving them the chance to witness – and even help solve – a bullying scenario. Through creativity and powerful imagery, Mark and the Marked highlights the importance of kindness, friendship, and standing up for others in an engaging and impactful way.

Perfect for kids aged 9 and above (but welcoming younger children too!), the wordless format makes it accessible for families from all cultural and language backgrounds. This is a must-see production that’s as entertaining as it is meaningful, showcasing both Box Clever Theatre’s exceptional ability to connect with young audiences and Blackfriars Theatre’s commitment to enriching the local arts scene.
