A brazen dognapping in broad daylight has left a Boston family devastated after their beloved pet was stolen, having escaped from their garden.
CCTV footage, published on Facebook by local resident Clinton Haw, shows a delivery driver wearing a yellow high-visibility vest pulling up outside a residential property this morning. The driver exits the vehicle, walks up to the pet in the road, and picks up the family’s cream Big Rope French Bulldog before heading down a driveway. Moments later, the man returns to his van and drives off with the pet.
Clinton and his family have contacted all local vets who have stated that the dog hasn’t been dropped off.
Additional CCTV footage from a commercial business on Fydell Street captures the van traveling along Carlton Road at 12:20 PM, the last known sighting of the vehicle.
The dog’s owners have issued an urgent appeal for information, urging anyone who may have seen the vehicle or driver to come forward. Lincolnshire Police have been notified and are investigating the theft.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Lincolnshire Police on 101, quoting the incident.
The White Mercedes Sprinter, with registration KM12 TWU was last seen at the Carlton Road junction with Fydell Street and Argyle Street at 12.20pm this afternoon.
