Jordan Richards received his marching orders as Boston United ended 2024 on a losing note on Boxing Day.

Richards’ second caution in first half stoppage time left the Pilgrims up against it – with visiting Solihull Moors already leading courtesy of Jamey Osborne’s 17th minute strike.

United threw caution to the wind after the break – but it was a familiar story of missed opportunities proving decisive.
