A man has been arrested on suspicion of theft, false imprisonment, and making threats to kill after a police presence was seen in a Boston village.

Four police cars and two police vans were spotted on St Leodegar’s Close in Wyberton on Thursday afternoon.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “Officers were called to reports of suspicious behaviour an address in St Leodegar’s Close, Wyberton, Boston, yesterday just after 1.30pm yesterday (September 12).

“Officers attended and a 47-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft, false imprisonment, and making threats to kill.

“The investigation remains ongoing.”
