A prolific shoplifter who has been targeting various retail premises has been charged and imprisoned.
David Titley appeared at court on Thursday 29 August, where he pleaded guilty to offences of theft from shops and breaching bail conditions. Judges sentenced Titley to a sentence of 8 weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months. After being released on the 29 August, he went on to commit another theft, on this occasion it was from an Asda store where he stole coffee, laundry products and razor blades to the value of £49.
He was subsequently arrested for this latest theft offence on the 3 September, and, having been charged, was put before the next available court on 4 September. Titley pleaded guilty and sentenced to 12 weeks in prison.
