A new family run furniture store is opening soon at Avalon Business Park, Kirton.
Owned by husband and wife duo, Stephen and Magdalena, their new business is the first step in what started as finding a solution to their own problem, to a natural progression of getting their first premises.
The business, named Decor Home Furnishings, is an environmentally conscious firm, with no paper catalogues and instead has installed an interactive kiosk allowing customers to visit the showroom and view products effortlessly and talk to the duo for honest advice.
Speaking exclusively to Boston VIBE, Stephen said: “Our entire business was born out of necessity. Magdalena and I moved into our new home and we couldn’t find any modern, afforable furniture. Everyone seemed to be selling the same styles… So after a lot of searching and researching we reached out to a manufacturer abroad directly and managed to get a set for our home. Sceptical as I was it turned up within days and was so fresh and well made that when our friends and family saw it, they practically begged for us to do the same for them…and so our business was born.
“We decided to dive in the deep end and have built the entire thing ourselves, literally. Magdalena has built the website and designed the showroom from the bottom up and I have built every single item in our showroom.
“In an age where everything is online we’re trying to bring customer service back, that’s why we have invested in an actual showroom for people to come in and see examples of our collections. Our motto is simple, Modern, Affordable, Elegant. We spend our time researching the leading manufacturers for the finest products to bring our customers the best deals.”
Decor Home Furnishings officially opens this weekend, at Avalon Business Park, Kirton, with a grand opening taking place between 10am and 4pm over the both days.
