A residential road in Boston is to undergo extensive improvement works as part of a £250,000 programme of works.
Pilleys Lane, Boston, from the junction of the A16 to B1183 Horncastle Road will undergo resurfacing works between Monday 9 September to Thursday 19 September. Hours of work on-site will be from 07.00 to 17.00 Monday to Friday. There will be no evening or weekend works.
A road closure is required for the duration of the works during on-site work hours. The road will open at the end of each shift to be usable to traffic in the evenings and at weekends, with a diversion in place Pilleys Lane / Sibsey Road / Spilsby Road / Wide Bargate / Horncastle Road / Pilleys Lane and vice versa.
Karen Cassar, assistant director for highways, said: ”It’s great news that we’re going to get the full stretch of Pilleys Lane resurfaced.
“The £250,000 programme of works will not only improve the drive quality for local residents, but will also make the road more durable for many years to come.”
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone effected by this improvement for their patience during the work programme.”
