Police are appealing for witnesses following an alleged assault in the Wyberton area of Boston which left a woman with a broken hand.

Officers from Lincolnshire Police say the incident is believed to have taken place at around 6.45pm on Friday 6 March, near the Burger King car park on Pilgrim Way, Wyberton.

According to the force, the incident involved an altercation between a man and a woman. As a result of the confrontation, the woman is reported to have sustained a broken hand.

Police are now asking anyone who may have seen what happened, or who may have information that could assist the investigation, to come forward.

Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have heard a disturbance or witnessed an altercation close to Boston United’s stadium shortly before 6.45pm on the same evening, as investigators believe this could be connected to the reported assault.

A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said officers are continuing their enquiries and are asking members of the public to assist if they were in the area at the time.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, saw suspicious activity, or may have dashcam or CCTV footage from the areais urged to get in touch.
