A man has been charged with traffic offences following a police stop in Boston.

Lincolnshire Police confirmed that Shteryan Sabotinov, 33, of High Street, Boston, appeared at Boston Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 14 March where he was charged with driving a motor vehicle while disqualified and driving without insurance.

The charges relate to an incident on Friday night (13 March) when officers stopped a vehicle in the Boston area after noticing it had red front-side lights fitted, which prompted further checks.

During those checks, officers discovered that Sabotinov was disqualified from driving and that the vehicle was not insured.

He was arrested at the scene and later charged the following day. Police also seized the vehicle as part of the enforcement action.

Sabotinov was released on bail and is due to appear at court again at a later date.
