Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Service (LCVS) and Voluntary Centre Services (VCS) are coming together to form a single, stronger infrastructure body, to be rebranded as CVS Lincolnshire, a move designed to improve services, reduce duplication, and deliver greater value for local communities, partners and funders.
Having worked in close partnership for the last couple of years as Lincolnshire Community and Voluntary Partnership (LCVP), on Wednesday 1st April 2026 we will formally bring LCVS and VCS together as CVS Lincolnshire, combining their experience, networks, and expertise to create a more resilient organisation focused on:
- Championing volunteering
- Supporting people in to volunteering
- Supporting charities and voluntary groups with good governance, policies and funding support
- Training, forums and networks which strengthen the sector
- Supporting social enterprises
- Supporting the Lincolnshire community transport consortium
- Providing social prescribing to support people with their health and wellbeing in their communities
- Supporting health and well being outcomes in communities
- Delivering projects which are identified with and for the communities of Lincolnshire
As one organisation, CVS Lincolnshire will:
- Provide clearer and more consistent support for local groups
- Improve efficiency and reduce organisational duplication
- Strengthen advocacy for the voluntary sector
- Expand reach and capacity
- Deliver better value for funders and stakeholders
Ultimately, the change is about ensuring long-term sustainability and improving outcomes for communities across Lincolnshire.
Ben Rollett, CEO of the newly named CVS Lincolnshire said: “This merger is about building something stronger for the future. By bringing our organisations together, we can focus our resources where they matter most, supporting local people and helping communities thrive. It allows us to work smarter, respond better to need, and create a unified voice for the voluntary sector in Lincolnshire. Our priority is making sure local organisations feel supported, heard, and equipped to succeed”
The Trustees and the Leadership team extend sincere thanks to staff, trustees, volunteers, partners, funders and the community who have shaped this journey.
We want to thank everyone who has supported LCVS and VCS over the years. This next chapter builds on that shared foundation. Our commitment to Lincolnshire’s communities remains stronger than ever.
CVS Lincolnshire will formally begin operating from Wednesday 1st April 2026.
