Boston Town made it three wins in a row to keep up their promotion charge.
The same three goalscorers who dispatched league leaders Sherwood Colliery the previous week did the trick again.
The Poachers looked to be comfortable after taking the lead through Harry Limb from the penalty spot after only eight minutes.
Zak Munton doubled their advantage after 17 minutes, but Max Thornberry halved the deficit just two minute later.
There was a further setback of the visitors when Tom Hilton made it 2-2 four minutes after the interval.
Memories of the Poachers’ disastrous second half collapse against Heanor last month briefly loomed into view. But this time Chris Funnell’s side steadied the ship and Matt Cotton snatched the winner after 73 minutes.
The hosts finished with 10 players after Joshua Timson was sent off.
The United Counties League Premier North promotion race is hotting up after the top seven all won at the weekend.
Boston Town remain second, five points behind leaders Sherwood, but third-placed Grantham Town have games in hand.
The Poachers have six games left and have an 11-point cushion ahead of sixth-placed Eastwood CFC, who are just outside the play-offs.
On Saturday (14 March), they’re away again, this time at Melton Town. Kick-off will be 3pm.
