Significant progress is being made on the construction of the newly named “Rosegarth View” building at the Rosegarth Square development site, with the Leader of the Council visiting the site this week to lay bricks and mark this key milestone.

The building, which was renamed following discussions with the project team and the council’s leadership, aims to better reflect its place within the wider public realm’s regeneration and continues to play a central role in the authority’s ambitions for high‑quality housing and commercial spaces across the borough.

The Rosegarth View building is set to be a modern, mixed‑use space designed to support both local businesses and future residents. The ground floor will provide flexible retail space capable of accommodating up to four new retailers, helping to boost footfall and strengthen the town centre’s commercial offer. The upper two floors will feature a collection of contemporary one‑bedroom apartments, bringing new homes to the heart of the town centre.

Construction has been progressing at pace in recent weeks, the steel frame for the building arrived in September last year, allowing the structure to take shape quickly. By December, the building had been made watertight, enabling internal works to begin on schedule in January. These works include the installation of apartment walls, insulation, window-fitting and bricklaying, all of which are now well underway.

To support the next phase of the build, scaffolding has been erected around the structure, ensuring high‑level works can be carried out safely and efficiently. This setup also enables multiple teams to operate simultaneously, helping to maintain momentum as the project moves closer to completion.

Elsewhere across the public realm, kerbing is now in place and new paths are being laid. The amphitheatre seating has been marked out, showing clear progress on the future events space.

The Fisherman’s Memorial has also been relocated to a more prominent position, tree‑planting zones have been marked, and foundations are in for new artworks, including “The Wave” and refurbished buoys, all helping to shape a more vibrant and welcoming area.

Councillor Dale Broughton, Leader of Boston Borough Council, said: “It’s incredibly encouraging to see the progress being made at the newly named Rosegarth View building today, and visiting the site always brings home the scale and significance of this development.

This project is a clear demonstration of our commitment to revitalising the town centre and creating a more vibrant, attractive place for people to live, work, and shop.”

“By delivering new, flexible retail space alongside high‑quality homes, we are investing in Boston’s long‑term future and supporting the growth of local businesses.

“With each milestone reached on this build it reflects the hard work of everyone involved in the project, and we are proud to see the vision for Rosegarth View taking shape in such a positive way.”
