Lincolnshire Police are currently responding to a welfare-related incident at a property on Parthian Avenue in Wyberton, Boston.
The area surrounding the building has been cordoned off while emergency services deal with the situation, and members of the public are being asked to avoid the area.
Crews from East Midlands Ambulance Service, Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue, and Tescue are in attendance, alongside specialist firearms officers and a drone unit from Lincolnshire Police.
As a result of the cordon, access to and from Wyberton Primary School may be disrupted, with parents, carers and residents advised to use alternative routes. There is limited access to Parthian Avenue and St Leodegar’s Church, although motorists and pedestrians may be directed by officers to take different routes depending on safety considerations.
Residents living between numbers 100 and 140 on Parthian Avenue may require police assistance to access their homes, if it is deemed safe to do so.
The incident is expected to cause congestion in the surrounding area, and police are urging the public to park safely and considerately.
Public transport has also been affected. In a statement, Brylaine Travel said:
“Unfortunately emergency services has informed us our B3X is unable to serve Parthian Avenue Wyberton at the moment. We will keep you updated. Thank you for your patience.”
The incident is being logged under reference number 141 of today’s date.
