A spate of shed burglaries has been reported at Cuckoo Land Allotments on Wyberton Low Road in Boston, following incidents that took place overnight on Saturday 3rd January 2026.
Several allotment holders discovered that sheds had been broken into, with concerns raised that tools and other items may have been targeted. The incidents have caused understandable worry among plot holders and the wider local community.
Residents and allotment users are being urged not to leave or store anything of value in their allotment sheds or on their plots overnight, particularly tools, machinery, or fuel, which can be attractive to opportunistic thieves.
Anyone who witnesses suspicious activity in or around the allotments is asked to report it immediately to Lincolnshire Police, using 999 in an emergency or 101 for non-urgent reports.
Police have confirmed that additional patrols will be carried out in the area to provide reassurance and deter further incidents.
Local residents are also encouraged to remain vigilant, look out for one another, and report any unusual behaviour, vehicles, or activity in the vicinity, especially during the evening and overnight hours.
