14.30 - Road Closure, Algakirk

Eleys Lane in Algakirk has been closed this afternoon after flooding and a fallen tree made the route unsafe for motorists.

Lincolnshire County Council’s highways team are currently on scene managing the closure and assessing the extent of the damage. The road remains impassable, with water levels reported to be rising following persistent heavy rain linked to Storm Claudia.

Drivers are being urged to avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible. It’s not yet clear when the road will reopen, and further updates are expected once the tree has been removed and the flooding has subsided.
