A collision has closed a section of the A16 Spalding Road in Boston this morning.
The incident happened between the Spirit of Endeavour Roundabout and the Quadrant Roundabout, with police closing the road in both directions while emergency services deal with the scene.
As a result, serious traffic delays are being reported along London Road, Wallace Way, and Spalding Road, with congestion building as motorists divert away from the closure.
A spokesperson for Lincolnshire Police said: “We were called at 8.05am today (1 October) to a report of a collision on the A16, at the junction of Spalding Road and Tytton Lane East, involving a motorcycle and a pedestrian.
“Both the rider and the pedestrian have been taken to hospital. Their injuries are still being assessed. The road has been closed while we dealt with this incident but is due to be reopened imminently.
“Inc 56 of 1 October refers.”
Drivers are being urged to avoid the area if possible, use alternative routes, and allow extra time for their journeys.
