The Civic Group of the Boston Preservation Trust are delighted to announce that the annual awards ceremony will take place at Fydell House on the 19th. May 2025.
Every year, members of the group nominate properties in and around the town centre and Boston’s conservation area that provide, among other criteria, an excellent first impression to a visitor to Boston and preserves and protects our heritage for future generations.
From an initial nomination list of 28 properties ranging from well- known listed buildings to locally owned small businesses such as a bakery and hairdresser, a final list of 24 properties was put to our judging panel.
This year, the Civic Group was keen to include younger voices in the process and we were delighted to have the enthusiastic participation of members of the Boston Police Cadet force and Boston Grammar School architectural students who willingly visited all the properties on the list to judge for themselves how the buildings contribute to the attractiveness of the town.
The winners of this prestigious local award will be announced before the invited audience of all 15 shortlisted candidates so keep watching for the exciting results.
