A vital piece of lifesaving equipment is set to be installed near one of the busiest junctions in the area, following a request from Sutterton Parish Council to the Pilgrim Heart and Lung Fund.
The charity has confirmed it has received the request for a Public Access Defibrillator, complete with a secure outdoor cabinet, to be located at the site of South Lincs Vet Group Ltd, just off the Sutterton roundabout.
This initiative will provide crucial emergency support for local residents and passers-by in the event of a cardiac arrest, significantly improving the chances of survival in the critical minutes before emergency services arrive.
A spokesperson for the Pilgrim Heart and Lung Fund said: “Your continued support and kind donations are very much appreciated and allow us to continue to support our local communities. Thank you.”
Established in 1986, the Pilgrim Heart and Lung Fund is a registered charity dedicated to improving patient outcomes by providing equipment to investigate and support services to treat heart and lung disease. Every penny donated goes directly toward helping people across the local area.
The installation at South Lincs Vet Group will ensure round-the-clock access to the defibrillator, reinforcing community health and safety around one of Lincolnshire’s key road links.
