Pescod Square Shopping Centre and Car Park has reaffirmed its commitment to providing the highest standards for visitors, ensuring accessibility, cleanliness, security, and safety. As a testament to these efforts, the car park has been awarded the esteemed Park Mark Award alongside the Park Access Award, presented by the British Parking Association and Lincolnshire Police.
The Park Mark Scheme, a National Police Chief’s Council initiative administered in partnership with the British Parking Association, is designed to recognise car parks that meet rigorous safety and security criteria. Out of approximately 63 car parks in Lincolnshire participating in the scheme, Pescod Square Car Park recently passed its assessment with flying colours.
The accreditation process evaluates a range of factors, including site maintenance, lighting quality, CCTV coverage, and overall security measures. By adhering to these high standards, the scheme aims to enhance safety and deter crime and disorder.
John Manuel, Lincolnshire Police’s Designing Out Crime Officer, commended the car park’s exceptional standards, stating: “Pescod Square Car Park easily met the standards required for these awards. The management and maintenance of the site were exemplary.”
Lisa Fitzgerald, Centre Manager at Pescod Square, expressed her delight at receiving the awards: “We are incredibly proud to have achieved these recognitions. The safety and comfort of our visitors are our top priorities, and these awards reflect the hard work and dedication of our team in maintaining a secure and welcoming environment.”
This recognition highlights the dedication of Pescod Square Shopping Centre to ensuring a welcoming and secure environment for all visitors. With a continued focus on excellence, the centre remains committed to upholding these high standards for years to come.
