Residents across Boston and surrounding villages have been left without water this morning following a major failure in the main pump system.
Anglian Water has confirmed the issue is affecting homes and businesses in Boston, as well as nearby areas including Gosberton, Donington, Swineshead, Kirton, Fosdyke, Sutterton, Wrangle, Old Leake, and all areas in between.
In a statement, Anglian Water said: “We’re really sorry, but some customers in Boston and surrounding areas may have either very low water pressure or no water at all. Our estimated fix time is 1:30 pm today.”
Residents have taken to social media to express frustration as homes wake up to dry taps. Businesses, including cafés, restaurants, and care facilities, are also struggling to operate without access to running water.
Emergency response teams are working to restore supply as soon as possible, and Anglian Water has urged customers to check their website for live updates.
More to follow as the situation develops.
