A Boston road currently is closed to all traffic for emergency repairs.

As reported last night, a water main underneath Skirbeck Road had developed a burst with water seen pouring from the pavement.

With the ongoing roadworks and temporary traffic lights outside Boston College and Scott House, residents raised concerns about the impact an additional set of traffic signals would have.

In the early hours of Thursday morning, however, a full road closure was installed between Fishtoft Road and South End.

All vehicular access to Boston College is only available from South End.

If you’re travelling this morning, please make sure to add extra time due to this closure.

A diversion is currently in place via John Adams Way, Vauxhall Road and Church Road, and vice versa.
