A village store was subjected to a ram raid in the early hours of this morning.

Lincolnshire Police were called around 3am to reports of a ram raid at the Lincolnshire Co-Operative in Old Leake.

Significant damage has been sustained to the shop frontage including shutters and windows, and Lincolnshire Co-Op have stated that further damage had also been sustained to internal fixtures and fittings.

An attempt was made on the ATM but nothing appears to have been stolen from the premises.

We have not yet made any arrests. We are appealing for information and are asking anyone with any information to contact us.
