A Boston based mobile catering unit has recently announced a free coffee promotion for any on duty crew operating a liveried ambulance, operated by East Midlands Ambulance Service, TASL or Jigsaw Medical.
SnakShak, owned by Boston businessman, Ian Cunningham, can be found in the grounds of B&Q on New Hammond Beck Road, posted on social media the promotion which he hopes to run until “at least the end of the year”.
The post read:
“I know it can be difficult for some crews to get a hot drink, or use a drive through...
Just a little something, I can offer at least I hope till the end of the year.
You don't need to purchase anything, you don't even need to leave the AMBULANCE, use my drive through window on the other side of my hatch.
Contactless accepted should you need food too. Offer to on duty crew only.
Just to update this.... I have extended this to TASL & JIGSAW CREW that are in Ambulance liveried vehicles”
“It is always lovely to hear about acts of kindness from members of the local community, ranging from individuals to businesses, who want to appreciate the hard work of our ambulance crews.
They continue to work hard despite these times of uncertainty as we head into another winter, and the usual pressures that brings to the NHS, during our on-going response to coronavirus at the same time.
This kind gesture by Snak Shak Catering to provide our ambulance crews with free coffee during their shifts will really help to boost staff morale and helps us to keep doing what we do.”Richard HunterAmbulance Operations Manager for the Lincolnshire Division of EMAS
